Editing tests or runs
Qanexus gives you the same sort of flexibility you enjoy when writing tests in a word processor. You can use a comprehensive set of formatting options, you can use tables when it make sense. You can use a set of bullet points or a table with steps with a column of instructions and expected results. All the editing is done in a word processor like interface so you don't need to learn anything special to get you going.
Tags are the key to organizing information in Qanexus. By using tags you can link tests to tests, tests to results and results to results. Tags are the way to answer questions like:
- Which tests cover this functionality?
- What are the standard regression tests?
- Where is this requirement tested?
Test results work in exactly the same way, except they contain a commnet section and a drop down for the overall result as well.

Finding Tests
Qanexus lets you search for tests both by keyword and tags. As you can define as many tags as you want for all your tests, it is easy to look up your tests by requirement number, test area, test type, product component or any other criteria that you want to define.
You can also print out a number of tests or runs on the same page for sharing with those that don't have access to the system
You can search for runs in the same way or you can even search the tags by keywords

Finding associated information
Apart from associations between tests and the associated run results, Qanexus also lets you see which other tests or results have been given the same tag. This allows you to look through the information in the project database in many different ways, for example by sub-component, test type, product version
Wherever a tag apears, the associated information screen is only ever one click away, saving you valuable time.

Reporting
In order to allow everybody to keep track of progress Qanexus can report which tests, with a given set of tags, have had runs recorded against them, again restricted by a set of tags, if needed.
Because Qanexus fully supports the standard features of your browser you can bookmark a report and come back to it time and time again, always looking at the most up to date data available.
In order to make sure that you have to do as few clicks as possible, you can go straight from this screen to the run screen for a given test if it hasn't been run. This makes this the perfect tool for testers to work through a set of scripts they have been assigned.

Administration
As with everything else in the system, administration in Qanexus is kept as easy as possible. As an administrator you can create and delete projects and create and delete users. Qanexus is licensed on a per login basis, but you can delete a login without destroying any of the information about what a user has done in the system.
To keep user administration as simple as possible, there are only two types of privileges in Qanexus: Users and Administrators. Users have full access to the system but can't administer projects or other users. Administrators have full access to every aspect of the system.
